Web Designer

Web designers must have strong knowledge and experience in technology, coding, programming, and graphic design as well. These designers are responsible for creating websites according to clients’ specifications such as setting a landing page, website layouts, and creating graphics for the website. The important task is to ensure that the flow of the website is working well for the users and portrays the clients’ brand identities.

Graphic designers

This is one of the most popular design careers. Whether you are in a creative industry or a non-creative industry, graphic designers could help to make your products known. The graphics or illustrations that have been created are used both in digital and, or in print. Graphic designers need to communicate ideas through their designs for the public to understand the brands better.

Some of the common skills of a graphic designer are social media postings designs, Adobe Creative Suite, designing packaging, and typesetting.

User Interface (UI) Designer

User Interface (UI) Designer is responsible for designing appealing visuals for users. You know the vibrant colors of the products' images, the aesthetic design of the website page, and making the website look as sleek as possible to the eyes. Sort of the frontliners of a certain website that lure users to click on the website due to the tempting interface. A UI designer must have a basic psychological understanding too to attract users.

User Experience (UX) Designer

User Experience (UX) designer works hand in hand with the UI designer in creating a ‘workable’ website. Without a UX designer, all the attractive UI designs will go to waste- designs with no functionality.

UX creates beauty (UI designs) with brain (functionality), they give purpose to the interface designs. The accessibility, usefulness, and credibility of a website depend on the UX designer.

There are similarities and differences between a Visual designer and a Graphic designer. There are tools which they both use such as Photoshop and Illustrator. However, Visual designers are more focused on the look and feel of designs, not so much focusing on the communication through the designs. Compared to graphic designers that are involved in multiple mediums of design platforms (online & offline), visual designers are more involved with digital online designs.

Product Designer

A product without any design feels so ‘naked’ and raw -unless that's what the creator of the product aims for that kind of vibe. Whether you are planning to do some window shopping or shop-till-you-drop, design works as bait for consumers to interact with the products. It would be called a success if a product designer could trigger consumers' temptations on the product.

Having a sleepless night? You are under the spell of a product designer. 😉

Multimedia artist & Animator

These people bring designs to life! 🤩 Multimedia artists and animators use their tech skills and design skills to communicate through designs- both two-dimensional and three-dimensional. Some of the examples are the 3D Wave in South Korea and 3D Golden Bull in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. These careers require creative thinking skills and strong imagination to create impactful and innovative designs.

Art Director

An art director leads design teams, liaises with clients, and reviews designs before presenting them. This position is usually reserved for people with years of experience in the creative industry that could supervise and be meticulous towards every visual element requested by the clients.

An art director must possess good leadership skills to establish a good communication flow between the designers, the project's collaborators, and the clients.

Mobile Designer

Mobile designers are the people who are behind the apps' designs on your phone. Their jobs are to ensure a smooth consumer experience, creating not only attractive designs but also the responsiveness of the apps while the consumers are browsing the apps from mobile phones, tablets, and other portable technology gadgets.

So, the next time you wish an app on your mobile could perform better, leave a review. A mobile designer will work on it.💡

Game Designer

Gamers should buy them more than a drink 😆. It’s crazy to think how real-looking the characters are in video games these days. Game designers contribute to game storytelling, the game settings or themes, and the characters' movements.

Creative thinking and the ability to predict gamers’ potential decision-making ( or next moves) are crucial to create a sense of satisfaction while playing the game. Perhaps, we can say that each shot of the game works as a canvas for game designers to bring characters to life.
